About the Program

The Michelson 20MM Foundation and the University of Southern California (USC) will be hosting an Intellectual Property (IP) panel discussion.

Why?

The role of Intellectual Property is as significant as ever in a U.S. economy whose output and global competitiveness is increasingly predicated on intangible knowledge. Today, IP industries comprise 38.2 percent of total U.S. GDP, or $6.6 trillion in annual output and is responsible for more than 80 percent of the market value of publicly-traded companies.

Now more than ever, it is vital that we continue to leverage IP to promote American innovation. Join us for a rich panel discussion with the nation’s premier IP minds examining the state of U.S. IP and its capacity to fuel U.S. competitiveness in a global and knowledge-based 21st century economy.
