Get excited, the 2024 Forging Equitable Futures for Student Parents Summit is right around the corner! Watch the video below to hear from past attendees.
Nearly half a million postsecondary students in California are pregnant and/or parenting students. Although they embark upon the same educational journey as their peers, student parents are more likely to experience unique challenges in their pursuit of a degree, such as time poverty, and also often come from marginalized communities.
Join us to explore ways California’s campuses can become family serving. During the Summit, practitioners, philanthropists, systems leaders, student parents, and allies from all across the state will come together to delve into innovative strategies, inclusive policies, and community-based initiatives designed to enhance student parent success. Together, we can shape a future where every student parent thrives.
The Summit will begin with an opening reception on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in downtown Los Angeles at Regal LA Live, and continue with a full-day program on Friday, September 6 at Los Angeles Trade Tech.
